About Us At Boxing News and Views

Boxing News and Views, simply put — is news and information in the sport of boxing.

Our expertise on the sport has been transparently trusted since 2012.

At Boxing News and Views we simply love the sweet science.

Whether it is the historic moments of the sport, latest boxing news or latest boxing results, we have you covered.

We provide expert boxing commentary and pound for pound boxing rankings, pre and post-fight analysis and insightful boxing reviews from a worldwide perspective on the sport and more.

To know more about us and our high boxing standards we set for ourselves — we look to give depth, value and genuine substance to our readers. Unique from other sites with our own views.

We always try to put the boxing fan first at the centre of experience here on our desktop and mobile site.

Boxing is a fragmented sport but we look to unify it all and provide more universal information worldwide on mostly professional boxing — boxing at its highest level — world championship boxing — but also prospect watch columns and more.

We look at top tier amateur boxing when the Olympics rolls around every four years and keep readers abreast of the growing all the time, popular new sport, (professional) bareknuckle boxing.

Many professional boxers and MMA fighters are making the move to bareknuckle boxing in different promotions.

We look to reference and bring together all forms of boxing news and information in a unique manner. All in the one place.

Whether in social media or other platforms.

While not forgetting the good history of the sport and old school traditional values and cultural importance of things like the Rocky Balboa series and so on for boxing.

We also look at human interest stories on injured fighters and boxers who make extraordinary impossible but made possible comebacks after nearly been killed with brain injuries and more.

To comebacks later in their careers like Pacquiao making the impossible possible against Barrios, to redemption stories, to fighting heart stories, to unknown boxing superheroes, to great American boxing heroes, to providing opportunities by boxing, to influencer boxing, to Mexican legends, to fights of all kinds, to the great Katie Taylor, to the great Claressa Shields, to even how boxing continues to boom even in dark times for humanity that was driven by the now defunct powerless evil depraved, evil, dog animal finished far left, to boxing legends, to UFC and MMA stars training and sometimes competing in boxing, to New Jersey Kings in the making in boxing, to vanquished American charlatans in the sport, to underdog stories, to legendary fighting Irishmen, to boxing hit lists, to the great champions, to champion hearts, to the comeback in boxing, to silent but deadly fighters, to stories on the greatest fighter that ever lived at 50 proving it again, to stories on pound for pound Kings, to making Italian boxing great again, to unbreakable defense in boxing, to heavyweight boxing Kings, to drugs tests and comebacks, to fight legends, to stories on big US boxing stars, to Satan/evil being totally cut out and eradicated from stories in boxing and beyond, to changing the entire industry of boxing with an iron fist, to the best boxers of the 21st century, to America’s role in boxing and sport and beyond, to boxing monsters, to the one and only legend that is Mike Tyson, to boxing being shown to the masses again for the first time since the 80s, to the official end of the liberal far left agenda and world at the end of 2025 as the East rises in boxing and beyond, to boxing being made great again in the 21st century, to boxing science, to boxing geniuses and fighters all in the one and more.

To stories on big names like Mike Tyson and more that transcend the entire sport of boxing.

To new boxing Kings such as Terence Crawford.

Boxing news and views is basically all things boxing.

Boxing is what we love and for us — it is the greatest sport of them all.

We do this to provide a balanced look at things across all the platforms (not just one or two).

FAQ:

Who runs and regulates boxing?

No one individual or entity worldwide actually owns, runs and regulates boxing.

The main world title belt sanctioning bodies charge sanctioning fees for the top world title bouts in pro boxing to the boxers competing and promoters of the leading events in the sport.

The four main sanctioning bodies (world title belt organizations) in professional boxing are considered:

WBC: World Boxing Council based in Mexico City, Mexico.

WBO: World Boxing Organization based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

WBA: World Boxing Association based in Panama City, Panama.

IBF: International Boxing Federation based in New Jersey, USA.

(An honourable mention goes to the unofficial 5th organization, the IBO: International Boxing Organization based in Florida, USA).

In the United States the sport is regulated medically for the fighters State to State by different Athletic Commissions.

More information on that can be found in ABC Boxing.

However, worldwide, the sport at a professional level is self-regulated and ran by a combination of TV companies, streaming companies and promotional companies who fund events and enlist drug testing companies for individual events for pro boxers based on the different nation’s set ups.

In the UK the British Boxing Board of Control regulate boxing by ensuring appropriate medicals are done by fighters and regulate the sport more or less the same as the US Athletic Commissions, but in the UK.

At amateur level, the sport as of 2024 was in a controversial space as IBA Boxing (Switzerland) whom used to regulate amateur boxing in the Olympics, ceased doing so for the Paris 2024 Olympics, with the IOC (International Olympic Committee) removing them and regulating amateur boxing at the Olympics at this time.

Now thankfully however — boxing is back in the Olympics in LA 2028 under the governance of World Boxing.

Lead by chairman and former middleweight champion of the world Gennady Golovkin.

Who is considered the best boxer ever?

This is always a difficult question to answer.

Subjective to opinion of boxing fans.

Many believe it is between the likes of Muhammad Ali or “Sugar” Ray Robinson.

Alas, boxing is a sport that has created many heroes that don’t wear capes over the years.
