Former Heavyweight Champion David Haye To Fight UFC Star In 2018

Former heavyweight champion of the world David Haye to fight UFC fighters it has emerged this weekend in London.

Not long following the Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor cross-fight between a boxer and an MMA fighter, a whole host of new stories regarding fighters from both sports wanting to test their skills in the other sport have emerged.

The latest has now come with London native David Haye who was commentating at an MMA event this weekend in the BAMMA promotion.

At the event Haye was seen speaking to UFC fighter Jimi Manuwa who’s also from London. The two can be seen having words below after which UFC fighter Manuwa confirmed on camera to MMAuno:

“The fight is on. I want it, he wants it. He says he has to fight a couple more fights before we are going to do it. It’ll be the beginning of of next year. By the end of the middle of next year.”

It is not known whether this would be in a professional boxing ring or the octagon.

It comes as a strange bit of news considering Haye is still recovering from injury and is set to fight in boxing before the end of the year.

Most likely in a rematch with Tony Bellew from Liverpool.

Haye’s last fight came to Bellew back in March when he was stopped inside the distance to the surprise of many in a massive upset at the 02 Arena.
