Zach Parker produced an outstanding left hand to close the show on the Callum Smith undercard of the World Boxing Super Series tonight.
Zach Parker really announced himself tonight fighting on the World Boxing Super Series bill in Liverpool.
Taking on Luke Blackledge in the super-middleweight division, the unbeaten 168lbs fighter showed menacing power to close the show in round one.
Here’s the punch that did the damage via the Punchoutboxing Twitter account (hat tip):

What a shot. Straight down the middle. The win improves Parker’s professional record to 13-0-10KO.
The 23 year old might not have made it into the World Boxing Super Series’ super-middleweight tournament, but fighting as a part of their bill tonight in the Echo Arena in London he will certainly have put himself in the shop window for bigger opportunities to come.
Tonight’s main event in Liverpool will be one of the quarter-final fights in the WBSS between local man Callum Smith and Sweden’s Erik Skoglund.
The main event is expected to get underway at approximately 10pm local time in the UK (2pm PT in the US, 5pm ET) and will also be for the WBC ‘Diamond’ belt:
