Who had the better boxing career Terence Crawford or Alexander Usyk

It looks like Alexander Usyk is close to finishing up in boxing and one Terence Crawford has a similar resume in his time in boxing recently.

Terence Crawford from the US retired only last year after busting up and outboxing a much bigger and former pound for pound number one.

In the form of Canelo Alvarez from Mexico in Las Vegas of last year on points by UD.

Crawford is since always in the boxing news about having big fights to come back to the sport at the moment.

He is always been linked to big fights and regularly contributes his input on leading fights in the sport regularly.

If you look at Crawford and Usyk’s career, both of them are maybe two of the best pound for pound boxers of their times in boxing.

Along with the likes of Naoya Inoue maybe as well from Japan.

Usyk of Ukraine won the undisputed title at cruiserweight and remained undefeated and beat everyone put in front of him.

Travelling the world to many different countries to do so and even though a weak heavyweight era, he stopped and knocked out many of them.

Ending all of the UK’s best heavyweights of their time often times in England and often times by violent knockout as well.

But he soured his career a bit at the end fighting a kickboxing champion called Rico who nearly beat him.

If not for Usyk finding a punch from nowhere to win by knockout earlier in 2026.

American Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford on his side put together his unbeaten tenure mostly in the States though.

Remaining undefeated but having more professional fights than Usyk and winning titles in more weight classes.

Usyk is 25-0-16 KO.

Crawford is 42-0-31 KO.

Both achieved excellent records and maybe you could say they have two of the best careers out of any professional boxers from the current era in the sport.

That is why it is such an interesting comparison as both are always in the boxing news as well still at the moment.

Usyk is open to fighting Deontay Wilder next in the US later this year but let’s see if they make the fight.

Crawford is retired (for now) and won titles all the way from lightweight (130 pounds) right up to super-middleweight (168 pounds though).

Floyd Mayweather never even came close to that and the closest Mayweather even went to in terms of weight moves was 154 pounds as a pro.

Crawford is a five-weight champion and competed in tougher divisions.

However Usyk was the ultimate road warrior but finished his career so far on a very bad note with that Rico fight.

Crawford ended his on the flip side in stong form with the Canelo win and went out on top of the entire sport.

For that reason, Terence Crawford for us had the better career overall.
