Ennis from the US and Aaron Mckenna of Ireland both boxed and have been victorious recently in boxing.
Not the biggest name yet is Mckenna, but he captured a belt at 160 pounds on Saturday night just gone in Ireland on points on a fight streamed in the US on Paramount Plus.
To call him the champion of the planet at 160 pounds is not true obviously.
Both he and Jaron Ennis in the US actually have both a bit of padded records in the sport of boxing.
Both need to prove themselves far more to call themselves proper champions in their divisions.
Ennis moved to 154 pounds recently and if he has interest in becoming another division champion, surely a fight vs Mckenna is something he can look at.
Mckenna might look like an easy championship for him in the 160 pounds division actually.
But he’d had to move up in division again, obviously, something never that easy to do.
It is the moving back to the division that the fighter came from then that is often the big challenge after.
Ennis the more fast, technically proficient, but still defensively frail at times, more exciting fighter of the boxers.
Mckenna solid in many departments, not the fastest or biggest hitting but represents a tough fight for Ennis if he looks to it.
