Adrien Broner is in a state at the moment, heavy drinking of alcohol a lot lately, so this claim from him in boxing on Zepeda and Tank is absurd.
Mexico’s Zepeda scored a famous victory tonight over Lamont Roach defeating him by UD on points in Las Vegas.
A solid victory in all aspects, no doubt.
Former four-division champion from the US Adrien Broner thinks Gervonta Davis knocks Zepeda out cold though.
No he doesn’t.
Some notes on this:
- Broner says Tank knocks Zepeda out cold — calls it “an ugly one”
- Tank hasn’t fought since early 2025 — drew with Roach in March
- Tank looked beatable vs Roach — went distance, took more punches than ever
- Zepeda’s pressure is a nightmare for Tank — nonstop volume and body work
- Tank struggled with Roach’s activity — Zepeda throws even more
- Tank also went distance with Isaac Cruz — not a pure KO artist
- Zepeda just convincingly beat the guy who drew with Tank
- Broner’s been drinking heavily lately — appears intoxicated on livestreams
- Broner hasn’t fought since 2024 — lost to Blair Cobbs
- Broner’s judgment is unreliable — Ryan Garcia offered him help for drinking
- Zepeda would force Tank to fight at a pace he’s never handled before
Lamont Roach had a stale mate against Gervonta Tank Davis last year and Zepeda handled Roach far better than he did.
Lamont Roach got it tactically not right vs Mexican boxer Zepeda tonight and full credit to Zepeda on the victory.
