Gervonta Davis has always been a wacky character in boxing but Tank has really been not himself at all lately.
Davis has apparently being saying he has four fights left in boxing and on the surface level, you’d like to take him at face value with that.
And say, yeah, he is still a young man and in boxing terms very young.
People like Pacquiao are competing for world titles at nearly 48 years old for instance.
Bernard Hopkins some years back won at a title at 49. The oldest champion in history.
People are competing longer now due to sports tech and sports science.
Gervonta Davis is only 31 and has not been in too many wars in the ring as well and for a lot of his career was a knockout artist.
He blasted Ryan Garcia out of there early in 7 rounds back in 2023.
Tank Davis’ professional boxing record currently reads 30-0-1-28 KO at present.
But he has not fought since March 1st 2025 at this stage — in his controversial draw with Lamont Roach.
A fight many thought Roach deserve to get the decision.
That is a long time ago now and his many outside the ring issues legally and with other people he knows caused him to not box this year so far.
He appeared on a recent streaming video with Adrien Broner and looked all over the place.
Now, apparently he is sending private messages to one Richardson Hitchins about fighting him.
Supposedly he has been sending Hitchins types of threats as well.
That will not impress him or anyone.
Last week as well welterweight champion Devin Haney claimed Gervonta Tank Davis reached out to them about a fight.
If he really wanted to fight he would have got back in there by now.
He is free to fight now however and nothing is holding him back — let’s see what Gervonta Davis tries to do next.
