Boxing Has A New Good Problem To Have Already Live Now In 2026

We said this would happen and it is live now already in professional boxing’s latest new good problem for the sport to have.

Good problems to have a rare when they happen but when they happen it just gives more choice and options.

There are always options in boxing as in life at the end of the day.

Professional boxing now has a huge amount of big events happening in the US and internationally all the time during the week and on the weekends as well.

This weekend is maybe one of the best instances of that coming up.

On Saturday you have the big Shakur Stevenson vs Teofimo Lopez fight in New York in the US. On the same night in Europe Josh Kelly challenges for a world title.

Then on the Sunday, this Sunday, the second Zuffa Boxing (UFC promoted) card on Paramount Plus happens on Feb 1.

That is three absolutely stacked shows in the US and Europe alone in three days. Although that happened at points last year it is happening literally all the time now.

Every week.

We said this would happen last year and thankfully we were right. It is now live and happening right now in 2026.

The thing is though it gets better.

The above are just fights being shown on the likes of DAZN and Paramount Plus but it could happen this year where you have five or six big shows happening all around the world between a Friday to Sunday.

Between BBC with boxer, ESPN Fight Nights, ESPN Deportes in Central and South America, Amazon Prime Video cards, Sky Sports cards, DAZN, Paramount, Plus and even Netflix cards for big events again this year.

These are all facts and all of the above are all up and running in boxing already bar the BBC but they will be soon in the UK.

If Boxxer are promoting big professional boxing events on the BBC in the UK to make them better hopefully they can source as many quality fighters internationally as well to fight in the UK as well.

It will only benefit the BBC, UK and international boxing more.

It is possible some of these networks and streaming companies could do joint big boxing events as well where more than one of them show a big fight.

Involving Usyk for a heavyweight title maybe.

That has happened before and is huge for boxing. Even more eyeballs on a major fight.

Say if the BBC and DAZN did a joint broadcast together for a mega fight.

Or if DAZN and Paramount Plus did a joint event. Of even Netflix and Paramount Plus.

The fight would be so big in terms of audience and marketing they could potentially charge rights fees for massive advertising revenue to offer a free fight potentially.

Outside of the subscription model even.

The fight would have to be big and shown around the world in places including China and India, Russia, Japan, South and North Korea and more.

The money would be huge and they could nearly do a profitable, very profitable event, a big boxing event, while making it free for fans.

The Olympics is free to watch for fans.

The World Cup is free to watch in soccer usually.

The Superbowl is free for people in the US in football usually.

It would have to be a huge fight though and it would need massive companies involved.

Possibly two or three of them to come together. Certainly two.

To take a slice of that NFL advertising fee pie or the soccer world cup advertising pie.

That’s where boxing is going though.

Back in the day people forget other than baseball boxing was the second most popular sport in all of America.

Jack Dempsey used to sell out baseball stadiums with crazy numbers nearly 100 years ago.

On July 2nd, 1921, Jack Dempsey defended his heavyweight title vs Georges Carpentier in Jersey City, NJ at the time.

Tex Rickard built a 90,000-seat arena at Boyle’s Thirty Acres that sold out.

Marking boxing’s first million-dollar gate.

Fast forward over 100 years to 2026 and here we go again.

The time flies.

That’s the level of success coming to boxing again.

Let that sink in.
