The top ten boxers of all time list, pound for pound, regardless of weight or era, is always a hot topic and bone of contention in the sport.
It will never be agreed on of course.
It will always be disputed, as, it is too difficult a list to put together in truth.
The current top 10 pound for pound list is already hard enough to calculate and formulate, but of all time, that’s a tough call.
That said, renowned boxing trainer and analyst Teddy Atlas has done on his podcast this weekend.
Why And Where Teddy Atlas Places Muhammad Ali In Top 10 Boxers Of All Time
He places Muhammad Ali number five of all time on the list and said:
“Muhammad Ali. Look at the Thrilla in Manila and versus Larry Holmes—very tragic; he shouldn’t have been in the ring as a shot fighter, but he didn’t quit. One of the greatest chins, wills, and pride of all time.”
Some will always have Muhammad Ali as number one but not Atlas or others though.
Ali when all is said and done no matter what anyone says had the greatest fighting heart not only of any boxer that ever lived.
But if any fighter that ever lived.
You had to hit him with a baseball bat to keep him down, he kept coming back, an unbeatable fighting heart and spirit.
He should have left the sport on top though and quit while he was ahead.
