Mayweather Compares His World Champion To Mike Tyson and Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather compares one of his current world champions under his promotional banner to Tyson and Pacquiao.

Floyd Mayweather is on promotional duties this week despite Conor McGregor announcing that he’s signed his side of the deal to take on the American in a boxing match. We reported yesterday that McGregor has also put in (all be it an incomplete one at the moment) application for his professional boxing license in Nevada.

Mayweather is refusing to take any questions about the McGregor fight until after Saturday night.

That fight will involve his IBF super-featherweight world champion Gervonta Davis who defends his title this weekend against Liam Walsh in the UK.

Davis, who goes by the nickname ‘Tank’, is currently the youngest world champion in pro boxing after capturing his title last January with an impressive stoppage victory over Jose Pedraza.

With a record of 17-0 (16KO) he can certainly punch and with his short and stocky build some have compared him to a mini-Mike Tyson style-wise. Speaking to members of the media his promoter Floyd Mayweather however was quick to mention other fighters he is similar to as well as Tyson.

Namely a certain Manny Pacquiao.

The former pound for pound number one spoke on the comparisons to Tyson of his charge, what he thought of them and more here via IFL TV YouTube (hat tip):
