Surprise, surprise, another fighter has lambasted Shakur Stevenson for not having genuine interest in making fights.
Garcia has said Stevenson is tough to do business alongside of and to actually make real fights alongside of.
This comes after the Devin Haney fight had been basically pulled out of by Stevenson.
Stevenson continues to say things that get him out of stepping in the boxing ring to fight Gervonta Davis.
Anything he can do to avoid taking big or tough fights, he usually does. Some notes on this;
- “One day” means never — Garcia’s polite dodge came with “hard to negotiate.”
- Stevenson took the bait, replying with a fire emoji like it was real.
- He ducked the Devin Haney fight, demanding a 144lb catchweight for a 147lb fight. that team Haney even granted, and then, he still ducked
- He tried dumping Haney on Kyshawn Davis — who also refused.
- The 2013 amateur grudge is a smokescreen for a fight nobody wants.
- Garcia defends at 147; Stevenson wants him back down at 140.
- Stevenson can’t sell — brilliant but boring vs. Lopez.
- “Hard to negotiate” is a pattern — same talk around Haney and Tank.
- Garcia doesn’t need him — he’s chasing Lopez and Haney instead.
All of the above speaks for themselves in terms of one Shakur Stevenson.
Mentally fragile and a guy that avoids the big fights and the tough fights too.
He had seen Lopez had been on decline and took the fight, Zepeda the toughest test of his career to date so far.
He ain’t interested in fighting Ryan Garcia but immediate big money and interest for the fight is there if he did.
