Tyson Fury is having it looks a second mental breakdown in boxing and in life at the moment but this is the worst.
He has not been himself at all this year.
His comeback fight on Netflix ended in a very poor performance and Netflix were thought to be angered by it.
After all they invested into him and the fact boxing is doing so good at the moment as a sport also.
Not Fury though.
Fury then got even worse recently in the fight against Poland’s Wach in their Thailand fight.
That did not even have a streaming company for boxing live streaming in their match.
Some notes on this;
- Came back this year visibly out of shape with extra weight and sluggish movement
- Looked slow and laboured in his Netflix debut against a fighter he should have dominated
- Looked bad even a bit back against Usyk in the rematch—no hand speed, no footwork, no timing
- His punch output was way down and he was gassing out by the middle rounds
- The awkward head movement and upper body defence that made him special is completely gone
- He fought like a man going through the motions with zero fire or belief
- This is the second mental collapse after the Ngannou scare and the first Usyk loss shattered his aura
- The recent fight this year against Poland’s Mariusz Wach displayed the least agile, out of condition, bad boxing performance from Fury in years.
- At 36, with two damaging defeats and a battered body, there’s no coming back from this
- He’s no longer competing at the highest level—he’s just surviving rounds against the highest level in the sport.
- He could not even knock Wach out recently, for goodness sake.
- Tyson Fury is officially finished as a top-tier fighter and everyone watching can see it
Tyson Fury most at this point believe is not going to return to the levels he had at the Klitschko victory years ago.
