Errol Spence looks to be just fighting for a pay check in his fight with Tim Tszyu and he does not genuinely look like he thinks he can win.
If he did there would be more about him in his training, more energy and buzz about him.
He looks miserable and is just dragging his kids around Australia, almost using them as a human shield hiding the fact that he is no longer a premier professional boxer anymore.
Boxing is flying as a sport but Errol Spence junior. is not, that, is ‘The Truth’ for Errol The Truth Spence.
Some things to consider going into his fight with Tim Tszyu this weekend:
- Spence has admitted even if he wins, he “may say that’s it” and walk away satisfied .
- Trainer Ronnie Shields said the comeback is “not about world titles, it’s about self-preservation” .
- Spence said: “I don’t have to come back [financially]”—he’s not fighting for money .
- He chose to fight in Australia specifically to do fewer interviews, avoiding the media circus .
- Tszyu has publicly questioned Spence’s desire: “When you’ve made all that money… what’s your real motivation?” .
- Spence drew criticism for keeping Tszyu waiting over an hour for a TV interview, then no-showing .
- He skipped a face-off opportunity with Joshua, showing little interest in promotional demands .
- His trainer says Spence is “doing this on his terms” and “not by anybody else’s terms” .
- He has openly admitted he dislikes doing interviews and “dreads it every time” .
- If he loses, he’s done—”There’s no sense in me trying to push, for what?” he said.
