Teofimo Lopez has been wearing funny masks at his press conference with Rolly Romero to announce their fight and something is off with him.
Only recently he was blaming his father for his recent defeat by UD to fellow American boxing rival Shakur Stevenson.
In his last fight where he got beaten by a wide points decision.
Now all of a sudden after it looked like he had sacked him, his father was back at the press conference next to Teofimo Lopez.
He was saying to his rival Rolly Romero ahead of their fight as well that they were never friends and had some strange costumes on.
He was contradicting himself in tone and the content of what he said at times as well, frequently.
On one hand he was saying thanks to Rolly for the opportunity to step up to the plate to try to become a three-weight champion.
He acknowledged Rolly as a multi-weight champion himself.
But then on the other hand he was saying they were never friends and had the strange gimmick costumes at the press conference.
He is all over the place and it looks to us he is just cashing out of boxing at the end of his career up at welterweight.
At least he is trying to do that with an entertaining fight at 147 pounds on August 22nd with Rolly Romero though.
That is what he will try to do.
Teofimo Lopez is one of the most erratic boxers in the entire sport of boxing and it is impossible to say what he will do next.
Or how he will box if he gets to the fight on August 22nd.
