Sebastian Fundora was keeping an eye on his rival Jaron Ennis recently when he moved up to the 154 pounds division.
Ennis, a former welterweight champion, had a relatively impressive start to his campaign at super welterweight.
A division his fellow US rival Fundora has won belts at.
Ennis stopped previous title holder at 154 pounds Xander Zayas inside the distance recently.
But he got tagged a lot and Sebastian Fundora has said that Ennis got exposed in the fight with Zayas, despite the victory.
He mentioned he saw what he needed to see in the Ennis vs Zayas fight and that he will see Ennis soon.
This will be good news for boxing spectators but will Ennis want to fight with the towering fighter at 154 pounds?
Hardly anyone does.
Due to him being far bigger than everyone in the division.
He usually has half a foot at least in height and reach on his opponents.
Fundora must be talking about the defensive holes in the boxing game of Jaron Ennis he saw.
Ennis can get caught square on with straight right hands down the middle a lot.
Alas, his defensive frailties were exposed as well.
He is right.
When Ennis gets into fire fights he stays in there too long and doesn’t get his head out of the way.
Ennis has the fast hands but they are best used at distance and Fundora can have a scrap with as good as anyone in toe to toe fire fights.
Fundora mentioned Jaron Ennis can be wreckless and he can be.
He gets in there too eager to unleash his hands sometimes without being concerned what is coming back at him.
Ennis is a solid entertaining fighter and has shown to have done well at 154 pounds but Sebastian Fundora would be a totally different kettle of fish than that of Zayas.
