Ryan Garcia has over 13 million Instagram followers and is one of the biggest names in US boxing but needs to sign a fight at this point.
Sure, he is a welterweight champion of one of the old with one of the no longer renowned old belt companies’ titles.
But the fact remains he is a big name in America and in boxing worldwide and is not old.
He had a solid win last time out against Mario Barrios on points and has been looking to get back in the ring shortly.
But after going on major US television talk shows confirming the Conor Benn fight recently it is not done yet.
Benn is still going back and forth with him on social media and apparently his promoter Oscar De La Hoya does not want the fight at all.
It is almost the middle of July in 2026 now and time is flying and Garcia if he wants can sign that Devin Haney rematch right now.
There is no reason in the world he cannot have the rematch with his fellow American rival right now and cash in on a huge pay day.
Devin Haney and his manager Bill Haney (also his father) are not in the way.
No one appears to be in the way of the fight happening at all actually.
Other than Ryan Garcia.
A Conor Benn fight is an alright scrap but people outside the UK are still getting to know Benn.
Benn moved to the US to box this year and had an alright win over Regis Prograis but was far from his best.
Devin Haney on the other hand is coming off a blistering points win over Brian Norman Jr last time.
A solid win and a bout with Garcia makes all the sense in the world right now.
Everyone in America and around the world knows Haney.
Both are in solid form and both have moved up to welterweight (147 pounds) as well.
Either way, Ryan Garcia needs to put up or shut up at this point and properly formerly confirm a fight with a network.
Otherwise people will think he is avoiding the big and best fights out there in boxing right now.
