The Usyk manager currently in charge of the heavyweight champion’s career has come out with some laughable comments.
Recently Usyk was hammered worldwide for deciding to take on a kickboxing champion in defending his heavyweight titles.
A man who had just one pro bout in boxing before he fought Usyk, and, Rico nearly beat Usyk recently.
Only for Usyk to pull out a miracle uppercut from out of nowhere near the end of the bout recently to win by TKO.
Uysk went from fighting the best opponents available for years to that — and now there is more.
He is in talks to fight a fringe contender at heavyweight next up now in the form of Agit Kabayel.
Spectators of the sport are hammering Usyk even worse now worldwide for it — and Usyk’s manager has basically got him sent to oblivion now.
He is saying that Usyk does not have to prove himself anymore and it is just about building events for Usyk now.
Basically saying they will fight tomato cans and not take on the most dangerous opponents for Usyk.
That is going to get Usyk and that manager sent to absolute carnage with people, rest assured.
No one is calling for the above fight at all.
In a time where boxing is flying and returning to the masses and the best are fighting the best more regularly the above is shocking.
Uysk and his manager now look to be just looking for big fights for easy money.
If that is the case he should not be tying up some of the heavyweight belts in boxing and let new young contenders come through.
Hence why the old four belt organizations are no longer viewed as very important anymore — more proof of it here yet again.
Because of situations like this.
The sense of entitlement from the above from Usyk and his manager is not good for them at all.
Many are saying Usyk is now ducking the best fighters moving forward and you can understand where they are coming from after this.
There is no defending this from Usyk and his manager.
Just vacate those heavyweight titles already or take a proper fight that people want to see.
Now who is ‘not very feel’ on this Usyk and now who is the ‘greedy belly’ — Oleksandr Usyk.
No good.
Usyk, once a boxing hero, now has turned into the villain.
Kabayel is maybe selling out arenas in Germany with a little over 12,000 and Usyk has been selling out stadiums with over 90,000 not long ago.
This is a cartoon-clown-like move from him and his manager to go from that to Kabayel.
Usyk looks like he has joined some sort of dark side with this move and it shows.
Usyk has seen himself become the greedy belly now.
Bad management.
Bad matchmaking.
Bad advise.
Bad move.
The likes of Lennox Lewis would have made light work of someone like Usyk had they had fought at heavyweight at any time.
