Emiliano Vargas is aiming big but needs to prove himself

Emiliano Vargas is aiming big

Not many in boxing know Emiliano Vargas but they might do soon — he is a prospect on the rise.

Not just in American boxing but maybe in world boxing.

That said, it is early days for him. He is just 17-0 and has somewhat impressed so far in his early tenure in professional boxing.

He is now even looking at big fights against the likes of welterweight champion Ryan Garcia.

Garcia a household name in America at this point.

Emiliano Vargas is 17-0-14 KO but is just 22-years-old and competes mostly in the super-lightweight division.

Just under the welterweight division at 140 pounds.

So to fight Garcia he would have to go to 147 pounds but we do not think that fight will be on the radar of Garcia anytime soon.

Vargas stopped Agustin Ezequiel Quintana earlier this year in round 9 back in February.

But he just has not competed with people anywhere near the likes of Garcia yet for us, as of right now.

He comes from a great amateur boxing background with a record in the amateurs of 110-10.

So many are saying he might be able to do some things in the pros but we shall see — his next fight is not confirmed yet.

Maybe so far the standout win in his pro boxing career came last year against Juan Leon.

When he defeated Leon at the T-Mobile Area in Las Vegas by TKO in round 2.

Emiliano Vargas also had an excellent win over Quintana by stoppage in round 9 back in 2026.

Not long ago Emiliano Vargas also got into a tussle with Keyshawn Davis ringside at an event.

Let us see what fight he is in next shortly before he gets too carried away with talks of fighting the likes of Ryan Garcia.
