Overweight Adrien Broner Makes Bold Boxing Career Claim

Adrien Broner is saying he’s sober now but is walking around very large and has some said big claims on boxing.

Broner recently went off the deep end on alcohol and so on and had caused concerns again for his well being.

Boxers and many in boxing again had mentioned this but Broner has been away from boxing for a while now.

He’s a four-weight world champion, very few ever achieved that in boxing history and said on a stream now he wants to get back into boxing and win a world title again.

Some points on this though:

  • Lost to Blair Cobbs on Jun 7, 2024 in Hollywood, Florida
  • Beat Bill Hutchinson on Jun 9, 2023 in Miami
  • Beat Jovanie Santiago on Feb 20, 2021 in Montville, Connecticut
  • Lost to Manny Pacquiao on Jan 19, 2019 in Las Vegas
  • Drew with Jessie Vargas on Apr 21, 2018 in Brooklyn
  • Only fought three times since Jan 2019
  • Had a long layoff between Pacquiao and Santiago
  • Another long layoff between Santiago and Hutchinson
  • Admitted he was walking around near light heavyweight at one point
  • Said he had to lose a lot of weight for his comeback
  • Missed weight vs Ashley Theophane and Vicente Escobedo earlier in career
  • Still chasing a world title despite inactivity
  • Weight issues have been a constant problem in recent years

He’d have to get in there soon with some at a reasonable level in professional boxing if he is serious.

The competition at world title level near welterweight now is intense.

To say the least.

Who knows what fights Adrien Broner will be in next.
