Adrien Broner has said some comments on Gervonta Davis and this brings up a few things to note on both.
On a stream with Deen The Great Broner has said he’s missed hanging out with old friend Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.
Both are former multi-weight world champions but both have been very out of sorts away from boxing in recent years.
Surely neither would be a very good influence on one another?
Some things for people new to boxing to be aware of:
- Adrien Broner is from Cincinnati, Ohio.
- Gervonta “Tank” Davis is from Baltimore, Maryland.
- They met through the professional boxing scene.
- Broner was already an established star when Tank was coming up.
- They developed a big brother / little brother relationship.
- They have trained together in multiple boxing camps.
- Broner has publicly called Tank his “baby brother.”
- Tank has referred to Broner as a close friend and mentor figure.
- They have hung out together, partied, and appeared on streams.
Davis has been in some legal trouble out of the ring but apparently he is able to comeback to boxing now and is free to train.
Who knows though on that. He hasn’t confirmed any fight yet.

On paper a fight between the two would be big but both are weights apart and Broner doesn’t look like he’ll be competing at the highest level of boxing anytime soon.
