Shakur Stevenson Brutally Honest On When He Knew He Had The Beating Of Teofimo Lopez

Stevenson

The chilling truth of a genius toying with his prey.

Lopez was the hunted and Stevenson was the hunter last weekend. Shakur Stevenson won a wide UD points verdict and pinged Lopez with the jab when he wanted to in the fight.

Speaking to Mike Coppinger of Ring Magazine earlier he said he knew he had it in the bag in round two of twelve:

“I knew since the second round it was over. I went back to my corner. I told him, ‘I’m stronger than he is.’ And when I seen that, um, it just gave me more confidence and, um, it was my night.”

Afterwards he said he wasn’t sure what weight he will fight at next.

He boxed well at 140lbs. there against Lopez last weekend but basically he could go back down for a while where there is bigger fights at lower weights.

And come back to 140lbs. later on in his career.

He might as well go for the biggest fights possible as soon as he can.

That Gervonta Davis fight can surely happen at 135 pounds at some point or Lamont Roach as well.
