Class act Lopez senior reacted to his son’s defeat below.
Lopez senior was in his son’s corner as always but on fight night Shakur Stevenson proved to be too good a boxer.
The game plan wasn’t there he conceded afterwards.
For whatever reason mentally Lopez junior was not switched on in the fight:
Shakur Stevenson moves on to return to a lower weight class it is thought next now.
That fight at the weekend would have done good ratings and certainly did on social media and other platforms.
All he has to do is keep boxing and winning and improving as a boxer.
It is that simple.
The big fights are there for him now.
In the end Stevenson was just too much for Lopez in all departments of professional boxing.
