Assessing Zuffa Boxing 01 vs Zuffa Boxing 02

Zuffa Boxing 01 Vs Zuffa Boxing 02

Objectively looking at how the UFC are doing in boxing so far is important.

They have the ability, brand, capital, team and experience to make this a big success in boxing.

They are signing plenty of quality fighters at the moment as well.

Which is the most important thing for them at this point possibly.

Because matchmaking has always been something the UFC are good at.

Their first two events in boxing have now completed after the second one last night.

Let’s break things down a bit:

Event 1 (Jan 23, 2026) – Walsh vs. Ocampo

  • Fight Action & Results
    • Main: Callum Walsh defeated Carlos Ocampo UD (98-90, 98-90, 97-91) – survived Rd 6 knockdown, dominated.
    • Co-Main: Misael Rodriguez defeated Austin Deanda TKO (Rd 4, corner/doctor stoppage).
    • Solid, competitive card with prospects — reliable action but lacked big fireworks — good matchmaking.
  • Production Quality
    • UFC-style polish: clean visuals, sharp pacing, strong commentary (Tessitore, Ward).
    • Paramount+ stream crisp (1080p), but ads interrupted live action (fan complaints).

Event 2 (Feb 1, 2026) – Valenzuela vs Torres

  • Fight Action & Results
    • Main: Jose Valenzuela defeated Diego Torres UD (99-91 x3) – overcame early pressure, dominated late.
    • Key bouts: Radivoje Kalajdzic defeated Oleksandr Gvozdyk TKO (Rd 7); Serhii Bohachuk def. Radzhab Butaev SD.
    • Clear step up: more excitement, intensity, and drama than Event 1
  • Production Quality
    • Built on Event 1 strengths: excellent setup, seamless streaming, efficient pacing.
    • Consistent high marks; minor ad issues persisted but no major new problems.

Overall

  • Event 1: stable debut, good fights but moderate thrill.
  • Event 2: noticeable improvement in action.
  • Production: consistent highlight – professional, high-quality, UFC-influenced.
  • Promising start for Zuffa on Paramount+ as fresh boxing option.

Alas, overall, things are going well for them.

There’s at least a fight every week but apparently that could be much more than that from them soon as well.

Zuffa Boxing 3 is next up on Feb 15th here’s the card details. Charles Martin the former heavyweight champion headlines the bill.

Then Jai Opetaia the cruiserweight world champion headlines Zuffa Boxing 04 on March 8th — card details.

Expect more soon though.

Apparently it could be at one boxing event every week soon as they are still signing fighters.
