Who Were Anthony Joshua’s 2 Dead Friends In Car Crash
Here is some facts on who they were:
Sina Ghami was Anthony Joshua’s full-time strength and conditioning/sport rehabilitation coach for over 10 years.
Ghami co-founded Evolve Gym and was integral to Joshua’s training “machine” for major fights.
He also trained high-profile athletes like NFL’s Le’Veon Bell and NBA’s Draymond Green.
Latif Ayodele was Joshua’s personal trainer and a close friend dating back before Joshua’s professional career.
Their friendship with Joshua was deep; both were described as “brothers” and traveled frequently with him, including to Nigeria.
Just hours before the crash, Joshua posted an Instagram video playing table tennis with Latif Ayodele.
Both men joined Joshua in Nigeria shortly after his knockout win over Jake Paul on December 19, 2025.
Tributes called them “genuinely good men” with great energy, loyalty, and professionalism.
Boxing figures like Chris Eubank Jr. and Eddie Hearn praised them as vital, beloved parts of Joshua’s team.
They were pronounced dead at the scene on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway; Joshua described as “heavy hearted” over losing his close friends.
Condolences to the deceased.
As for Joshua, many don’t believe he will now be anywhere near the standard of Tyson Fury or Usyk if or when he returns to boxing.
Time will tell.
