The UFC have had first mover advantage in the roll out of many of their new products in MMA over the years and now there is more opportunity in boxing.
They can have that same advantage on patents and trademarks on some of their concepts, products and existing base of shows they already have.
One such product that has long being a big hit is of course Fight Pass.
UFC Fight Pass has long been a big success with MMA fans in the UFC.
What about a TKO Boxing Pass or Zuffa Boxing Pass and so on?
Fight Pass allows the user to watch UFC fights online easier and puts all the content into the Fight Pass app where the idea is that the fight fan all around the world can access the content and fights anywhere on the go for the UFC.
A Tech Product The UFC Can Launch In Boxing
It has changed a little over the years and now shows boxing too — including Callum Walsh’s recent boxing matches before the UFC got into boxing properly.
Surely the same could be looked at for boxing but a differentiated USP compared to apps like DAZN and Netflix and so on.
They would need to do something different in such a boxing app.
Many have tried the boxing app space but none with the tech ability and know how and production credentials of the UFC, nor their experience in the professional fight business to start off with.
Something for the UFC to think about.
Times are changing in tech at the moment for boxing and sport, but only good things ahead.
