If Liam Paro goes after a fight vs Devin Haney, Filipino eight division champion Manny Pacquiao can do other things.
A lot is happening in boxing at the moment currently. More than ever.
In terms of fights, fight talks and more. Champion Liam Paro some thought might have been getting lined up to take on Manny next up.
But he might go straight for a shot at American boxer and 147 pounds champion Devin Haney instead.
Some points on this briefly;
- Haney is in talks with Paro, which could shut the door on Pacquiao facing him
- Shakur Stevenson is all over the place, he could be put in there for Pacman possibly.
- Ruslan Provodnikov was previously scheduled for an exhibition – could be revived
- Keith Thurman is a veteran former champion with name recognition and no fight currently scheduled, making him a logical stay-busy option for the ageing Pacquiao.
- Thurman is coming off a loss and has fought Pacman before but still a big name.
- Gervonta Davis if he actually comes back to boxing is still a huge name and the speed on display in both, even at this stage, makes for compelling interest.
There is loads of up and coming prospects and stuff the Filipino boxer can face but he is past that at this point.
Big names or title fights are surely his only interest.
If no Paro for another shot at a title, one of the above may offer interest to Manny Pacquiao.
