Everyone has been commending the bravery of one Xander Zayas in his defeat to Jaron Ennis but not Vergil Ortiz.
Far from it.
His big hitting rival has actually gone the other way since Jaron Ennis knocked out Xander Zayas at the weekend.
Vergil Ortiz has called Zayas a ‘p***y’.
A strange remark.
Given the courage and heart Zayas showed to get up from many knockdowns with Jaron Ennis at the weekend.
Losing in round 7 but going out on his shield and seeing his overall professional boxing stock in the sweet science increase.
Vergil Ortiz even want on to call Zayas a quitter. Many have disagreed with that sentiment straight away.
Vergil Ortiz even said he would knock out Jaron Ennis.
The fight had been tried to be made for ages between the two.
Ortiz promoter Oscar De La Hoya the main cause the fight has not happened.
And why Jaron Ennis moved up to 154 pounds in the first place.
The fight can still be made of course but 154 pounds is the place to make it and it possibly wont involve Oscar De La Hoya in making it either.
That would be the right thing to do as he is in the one who got in the way of making the fight up to now.
Vergil Ortiz knows what to do. De La Hoya in in decline and many boxers are doing their own thing now.
Many of the world’s leading boxers like Usyk and others are also continuing to vacate the old 4 sanctioing bodies’ titles and belts as well.
So do not count the fight out from happening just yet.
