Gervonta Davis finds himself at a cross roads

Gervonta Davis is at the crossroads of his boxing career now but has a choice that he has not had for a while.

Well, he might have had it for a while actually.

Does he actually want to get back into the ring at the highest level of boxing or just take an easy fight?

He has been declared a champion in recess now by one of the old 4 belt organizations that are now no longer relevant.

Only yesterday this was proved again as Usyk the heavyweight champion himself tossed all their belts in the rubbish bin.

Vacating them.

One of those now defunct organizations used to have Gervonta Tank Davis box for them.

They have now ‘ordered’ Floyd Schofield vs Lucas Bahdi for a vacant lightweight title.

Not that anyone cares or pays attention to them.

It is about the fights — that is what people care about.

So no Floyd Schofield fight for Tank Davis for now looks the case.

He is still a big name in professional boxing and America though. He can get back in there against someone of note if he wants.

He has made a few comeback appearances to social media recently but still nothing signed or fight announced.

He looked terrified recently alongside Adrien Broner in a streaming episode of Broner’s.

Whether or not Tank has the motivation to box anymore is unclear.

The passion may not be there.

The passion still clearly is there in the sport of boxing as the sport is going back to the masses all the time.

Based on quality of matchups between fighters fighting one another that people genuinely want to see.

Does Gervonta Davis want to be in one of those matchups?

Apparently Tank Davis reached out to Devin Haney recently or at least to his team for a fight.

Great but a tough fight for Tank if it happens, he will give away size and some reach.

The build-up would be entertaining between two of America’s most polarizing new young boxing names in the country.

Still a big fight in America and a challenging one for him.

He will have much speed over Haney if they fought.

That is up to Gervonta Davis now.

He is still a big name.

Who knows who Tank fights next.
