Recently it was shown on social media that Tyson Fury was training stand up Muay Thai striking in what appeared to be an MMA gym or maybe it was a Thai boxing or kickboxing gym he was at lately.
Obviously Fury is a boxer and one of the legendary stories in heavyweight champion boxing history but what could he be looking at next year? He was very slim, noticeably slimmer than usual and was talking a lot of sense as well.
Just the way he said it recently on one of his morning running Instagram live videos, usually with his kids and their family that he trains but he was on his own in this one.
He basically said he was out training and what else would he be doing like drinking and eating himself into oblivion over Christmas, what else would he be doing other than keeping in shape and healthy?
To us who have followed Fury’s career at length, this represented some sort of a psychic shift completely in his thinking to have not just discipline but he was enjoying keeping fit and healthy.
Fury like many boxers when they do not have upcoming fights sometimes blows up in weight and had piled on the pounds previously but not anymore.
Tyson Fury Training MMA Again What Next In 2026
Not out of some regimented sense of discipline which is boring to genius’ like Fury, more so an actual change in lifestyle in how he eats and trains that he now enjoys as opposed to occasionally drinking himself or eating himself into oblivion almost previously.
The UFC are getting properly into promoting boxing as well in 2026 with Zuffa Boxing and Paramount and there could be opportunities for big UFC and MMA names to feature on boxing cars they do either in boxing or co promotions with MMA, we don’t know yet.
Fury is a big name and has been linked with a comeback to the sport of boxing properly now next year and has been suggested a long awaited fight with Anthony Joshua in boxing firstly.
But the possible opportunities are endless for Fury as boxing’s return to prominence continues.
