Former world champion Tony Bellew reacted to Moses Itauma’s latest brutal knockout victory as many mention him as a possible new Mike Tyson.
UK heavyweight Itauma has won plaudits and comparison’s to Mike Tyson due to his similar fight style and such a young age (20) making such fast ground in the heavyweight division like Tyson did back in the day.
Speaking to Talk Sport earlier, former world champion Tony Bellew said of the young Moses Itauma:
“There’s no doubt in my mind—that’s the future of the heavyweight division right there. That boy is so equipped. He’s got so many skills, so many assets—he’s unbelievable. The only thing I worry about with Moses is his size, but ultimately, as we’ve seen now, size becomes irrelevant. Look at what Oleksandr Usyk has done—this guy’s gone out and beaten everyone, including me. He’s exceptional. I don’t think Moses is going to be as technically good as Oleksandr Usyk, but he’s the next in line. I think he’s the future of the heavyweight division. I think he’s an outstanding talent.”
Itauma took out his latest victim Mike Balogun inside the distance last weekend.
The future is undeniably bright for Balogun, who is fighting well — knocking out and dismantling everything in his sight.
