Terence Crawford Gets A University Honor

Terence ‘Bud’ Crawford as well as being a star all round athlete is also a hero outside of boxing as this latest award clearly shows.

He hails originally from Omaha Nebraska and those familiar with his story know before boxing he was nearly shot and killed in a street fight.

He’s long removed from that though and help’s youngsters keep out of trouble now in that aspect, Ring Magazine on the X platform noted:

“The University of Nebraska Omaha honored Terence Crawford with the inaugural Spirit of the Maverick award after giving a commencement speech earlier this week. The award was given to him by the university for the work he does keeping kids out of trouble through his Omaha-based nonprofit community-based athletic center, B&B Sports Academy.”

Big respect and well done.

Well done to the State of Nebraska too — one of their famed fighting sons done good.

Crawford attempts to shock the world in September when he takes on Canelo Alvarez in a super fight next up.
