Former WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder is back in the sport shortly and its brought about a reaction.
From fans and pundits to say the least ahead of his June 27th Kansas return to the sport.
Speaking on Talk Sport earlier fight analyst Gareth A Davies said he was not surprised that Wilder is fighting this summer:
“No. Not at all. A guy of his standing and what he’s been through. Whether he’s completely gone or not. He needs to know it. I think. That’s what’s happening for him at the moment.”
The guy Wilder is fighting next up is obviously not a world beater and that’s okay too.
Wilder knows that he has to be able to pull the trigger and get a knockout win to get his confidence back.
After that, maybe he will look for a big name opponent.
