As many warned before the fight tonight David Morrell would be dangerous for David Benavidez — and he was.
An excellent boxer from Cuba who’s limited number of professional fights didn’t tell the story of how a quality a fighter he was.
After the fight although losing by UD on points tonight, everyone has been giving Morrell respect, not least pound for pound star Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis on X:
“This my first time seeing Morrell fight..son quick to be that size”
Well said by Davis.
Morrell is very quick for that weight and his stock has increased a lot after tonight’s fight.
