Unbeaten Heavyweight Contender Could Next Face Dangerous Foe

Recently standout amateur and undefeated professional heavyweight Joe Joyce continued his run in the paid ranks impressively.

Scoring a stoppage win over Carlos Takam last weekend.

Joyce at 35-years-old, as a heavyweight who is in the prime of his career, now, will look for a step up next up.

One reported opponent next potentially is Luiz Ortiz of Cuba.

A much-avoided bogeyman in the not too recent past of the heavyweight division.

While Ortiz might be past his best, this would be a perfect technical test of Joyce in the paid ranks, and, would show if he will contend in a title fight or not, at that elite level of boxing, down the line.

Ortiz at 42 has not fought in a bit since knocking out Alexander Flores last November but is still not to be underestimated.

If Joyce were to get rid of Ortiz inside the distance, for instance, after that, he could go on to challenge again in big title fights alongside other contenders like Dillian Whyte, Hughie Fury, Joseph Parker, Michael Hunter and so on.

Amongst other contenders.

Just beneath that world title level at the moment of the top names involving the likes of Joshua, Wilder, Fury, Usyk and Ruiz.

Heavyweight boxing can continue to excite for many years ahead with all these fighters, no doubt about it.

And, moreover, many more new contenders beneath them will break through too in the near future.
