Pound for pound rated fighter and WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford finally got a big fight this week when he landed a bout next up against household name in boxing Amir Khan.
Granted, many think it’s an easy fight for Crawford but he’ll still need to be careful with Khan’s blistering hand speed early on at the least –as anything can happen in boxing.
Particularly against a fighter as explosive as Khan who’s always in exciting fights.
‘Bud’ is too experienced at this stage to go overlooking any opponent.
He’s also got a keen interest in this weekend’s big welterweight fight in Vegas between Manny Pacquiao and Adrien Broner being a bout happening in his own division.
Speaking to Behind The Gloves, Crawford said:
“I’m going for Broner. I hope he pulls it off but who knows how it’s going to do until they fight the fight.”
As for Crawford, if he gets past Khan on April 20th he really finds himself in a tough spot.
Ahe moment he’s finding it very difficult to land any of the top welterweights as opponents due to ongoing boxing politics between Bob Arum and Al Haymon.
