Terence Crawford retained his WBO welterweight title this past weekend with another stoppage win but was made to work early on in the fight.
After the bout Crawford noted how in the early portion of the fight he struggled with finding his distance but once he did, that’s all she wrote – he said.
Benavidez proved a tough customer but the uppercut that closed the show would have surely taken out most welterweights in the world today.
Boxing legend and former heavyweight champ George Foreman believes it was the body shots of Crawford that proved key in the contest:
The Lil body punches that looked like nothing; finally paid off for Crawford. “Benavides you should never follow a puncher!”

That being said, he also thinks one Danny Garcia would beat Crawford however:
Garcia would pick Crawford apart.

Possibly a controversial view in the eyes of some but who’s going to argue with big George.
The fight most seem to want to see is Crawford against Errol Spence but only time will tell if we get to see it.
