That video that everyone has probably seen at this stage, involving WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and a mascot on a television show getting punched – has now being addressed by Wilder himself.
The video depicts Wilder landing a big right hand on the mascot with fresh reports coming out yesterday that it in fact broke the man in the costume’s jaw.
Wilder has denied he did not know there was someone in the costume, like some outlets have reported, and offered an apology and tickets to his next fight to the man if the reports are true:

Yea, Anything headlining I didn’t know a “Human Being” was in there is just straight “Click Baiting” like come on now, I guess the Mascot rolled out there. show so respect! I sincerely apologize to the brave man that was injured (if this is true) I have the up most high respect for him, his participation, willingness and courage. If this is true @nacionespn I personally would like to invite him to my Dec.1 fight. Word Is Bond✊🏿 -CHAMP #BombZquad #PeoplesChamp
A nice gesture, fair play.
