The Liverpool boxer takes on cruiserweight kingpin Usyk this coming November in Manchester in a fight that pretty much no one is giving Bellew a chance in.
But Bellew’s heard it all before.
No one gave him a chance in last two fights, either. Two successive upset wins against David Haye was enough to force Haye into retirement.
Bellew seems to be a boxer who thrives on challenges at this point in his career.
Last night at the Anthony Joshua vs Alexander Povetkin fight at Wembley Bellew could be seen exchanging words with Usyk.
No one could make out with Bellew was saying. Likely Usyk didn’t have a clue either.
Bellew has revealed what it was he told him:
He did mate.. I basically just said “I’m here now superstar” that was it.. no disrespect I just told him what he already knows..

Usyk is recently coming off the back of winning the World Boxing Super Series in what was a tournament of the best killers at cruiserweight in world boxing.
In 15 pro fights he’s already established himself as one of the best pound for pound boxers in the world.
Bellew certainly has his work cut out, but, he’s been here before in terms of being the underdog and proven people wrong.
