Former world middleweight champion David Lemieux has now reacted to his first round knockout victory over Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan tonight.
Lemieux showed he is not finished at top-level just yet and proved he still carries enormous knockout power with the win over Irishman O’Sullivan tonight.
Straight after the fight Lemieux called out the winner of tonight’s Golovkin vs Canelo rematch tonight:
.@lemieuxboxing did exactly what he said. Knock out @spike_osullivan in the first round ? Calls out @GGGBoxing & @Canelo #CaneloGGG2 #Sept15 pic.twitter.com/xkPr13e5Md

He also went on to tweet his fans:

Lemieux came in incredibly 15 pounds heavier than O’Sullivan, despite the two both being middleweights.
How he put on that amount of weight since the weigh-in yesterday must be near a record surely for weight advantage on fight night.
The power he put on display was crushing in the end.
Lemieux lost to Billy Joe Saunders in a unanimous points decision just before last Christmas.
The win by the Englishman and WBO champion looks even more impressive now following Lemieux’s big win tonight.
