Amir Khan once again proved why he’s one of the most exciting fighters to watch out there after a fight of knockdowns before a points win.
Perhaps one of Khan’s opponents Michael Gomez said it best one time:
“He’s a world class fighter but has world class vunreabilities.”
Maybe that’s why so many people tune into his fights.
The danger of getting knocked out is always there with Khan, but so is that blinding, incredible hand speed that he has.
He can end fights as quick as he can be dropped and tonight in Birmingham Samuel Vargas reminded Khan we he can simply never afford to switch off in a fight.
Even for a second.
Khan ultimately ran out a points winner tonight over Vargas and knocked Vargas down with some blistering combinations during the fight, but a big Vargas right hand early on dropped Khan himself and almost ended his career.
In true fighter form however he got up off the deck to come back and win the fight.
Here’s how some of the boxing world have reacted thus far:
amir ‘no chin’ khan, ****** if he ever fights thurman jr

Amir Khan has spent more time on the floor than my Uncle and he’s a ******* carpet fitter

? Job done for Amir Khan, but boy did he make hard work of it. A fight between him and Kell Brook could have been something special in 2015/16. Now? We’d still watch it, but it has certainly ‘over-marinated’.

Amir Khan needs to stay his arse away from any of these PBC welterweights like spence, porter, thurman and garcia cos they would roll him up a like a doner kebab.
Needs to stay on SKY-DAZN and fight Tommy Coyle next or summin.

Congrats to Amir Khan on his UD win over Samuel Vargas. Fight was a pitty pat beat down in favor of Khan. Almost complete blow out on the score cards. Vargas face swollen but he can be proud of his resilience…so yeah, did I say Khan won?

I say this without a hint of irony or sarcasm:
Amir Khan is hands down the most entertaining fighter in boxing.
Every second he’s in the ring is utter ******* madness
