Two of the best fighters in the game pound for pound are at one another’s throats on social media today following a big weekend of welterweight boxing both in the USA and UK.

IBF champion Spence and WBO champion Crawford have long been mentioned in the same sentence as a potential fight due to their undefeated records and incredible skills.

Arguably the two best welterweights out there and in most people’s top four or five worldwide pound for pound lists.

In reply to some heckling from Crawford today, Spence has fired back saying:

The really frustrating thing about this is you just know both guys are not going to fight any time soon due to fighting on different networks.

This appears to be the early start of a fight being built down the road between the two.

Long-term.

If both can keep winning and keep improving – eventually fan demand will just force this fight to happen whether they like it or not.
