Carl Frampton impressed tonight in front of his hometown Belfast fans as he fulfilled a life long dream in boxing at his beloved Windsor Park stadium.
The rain came down heavy tonight in Northern Ireland for the main events but nothing was to rain on the Carl Frampton parade as he showed his class against Australian Luke Jackson.
A measured pace from start to finish saw Frampton pick his shots perfectly and box to instruction from trainer Jamie Moore in an excellent performance overall.
In the end the towel had to be thrown in by Jackson’s corner – here’s how the stoppage happened:

An excellent performance overall from ‘The Jackal’.
The win sets up a possible world title shot against either Josh Warrington or Oscar Valdez next up.
Either would be a top-notch fight to be made.
The win tonight saw Frampton capture the WBO ‘interim’ featherweight title as he closes in on a full world title in the new furture.
