A world featherweight title showdown between Carl Frampton and Joshua Warrington has now been penciled in following Frampton’s win tonight in Belfast.
Champion Warrington won his belt earlier this year with a standout performance over Wales’ Lee Selby and sharing the same promoter as Frampton in the form of Frank Warren, now the fight between the two is on:

The bout was announced following Frampton’s stoppage win over Luke Jackson tonight in Windsor Park.
An impressive display that saw the hometown man dominate the bout and forced Jackson’s corner to throw the towel in for their man in the end.
A big night of big fight announcements overall too, as Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury was also confirmed by Warren a short time ago.
Boxing is certainly booming at the moment between all these big fights getting made, new platforms emerging and competition between promoters continuing.
Long may it continue and thrive.
