Hall of Fame boxing promoter Frank Warren is continuing to make strides once again in the sport and is not backing down from his closest rival and fellow London native Eddie Hearn.
The two promoters have had many, many things to say about one another for many years in the media at this stage.
It’s clear there is no love lost between the two and still to this day the two have apparently never even met.
The two Londoners continue to take digs at one another where they can in the media with the most recent from Hearn coming this week saying he does not believe Frank Warren is competition to him at all.
Warren has responded on his verified Twitter account with the following:
? we also took Warrington&Selby off him. So since working with BT we’ve competed with him for 4 world level fighters.Fury,Frampton, Selby&Warrington. All are with us!
Its squeaky bum time,if AJ loses/leaves he‘ll disappear from boxing like his old man didhttps://t.co/cQgOKZ1LJU— Frank Warren (@frankwarren_tv) May 3, 2018
Shots fired.
The above Anthony Joshua reference is to Joshua’s contract with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Sport apparently being up for renewal soon.
‘Old man’ referring to Hearn’s father Barry Hearn who like Warren – is also a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame.
