Australian heavyweight Lucas Browne suffered knockout defeat last weekend at the hands of Englishman Dillian Whyte in one of the most one-sided heavyweight bouts of the year.
Going into the fight many gave Browne a better chance in the bout than what actually transpired.
Although it should be noted Whyte came into the fight in arguably career best condition and boxed very well on the night.
Browne has opened up to fans on what happened in his own words on the night and in the months leading up to last Saturday’s bout at the O2 Arena in London:

Boxing is just as much a mental game as it is a physical one… I wasn’t in the right frame of mind going into the fight as I should have been, but inactivity, a shit prep, 4 months away from your family, and constant fuckups will affect you. This is not only a loss but a learning opportunity for me, I’m already planning my comeback and want to say Thankyou to ALL my fans around the world, the support has truly been amazing. All my sponsors for the constant support, and not to mention my team, and my family. Much love from lucas Big Daddy Browne and I’ll see you all soon. 💯👊🏻
You have to respect that kind of honesty – from anyone.
No doubt Browne will be on the comeback trail sooner rather than later.
