The Garcia vs Rios purses and other fighters on tonight’s card in Las Vegas have now been formally disclosed ahead of tonight’s action.
The guaranteed purses represent the amount that needs to be disclosed to the Athletic Commission but it is important to note these are just the minimum amounts the fighters will earn.
Dan Rafael of ESPN has reported tonight’s purses as the following:
Purses for Saturday night’s Showtime card from Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas: Danny Garica $1.25 million, Brandon Rios $500k, David Benavidez $400k, Ronald Gavril $125k, Yordeinis Ugas $40k, Ray Robinson $30k. https://t.co/Sx9bqeFtGx

Not bad for Garcia and Rios considering it’s not a pay per view event.
Garcia would have made considerably more in his last fight last year against Keith Thurman but he won’t be complaining with over a million dollars for tonight.
Rios came in at the weigh-ins yesterday in excellent condition prompting some to think that he may even have an outside chance at springing the upset.
To do so you’d have to think that he’ll need to take the fight to Garcia early on and take him out of his groove.
