A PE teacher jibe was levelled at world champion George Groves’ trainer Shane McGuigan in recent times who had an opportunity to respond to the remark today.
It was a comment made by Eubank in the run-up to this weekend’s big fight in Manchester.
One that seemed to draw a lot of interest from the media in attendance in Manchester today.
McGuigan, son of famed fighting legend Barry McGuigan, has trained a number of high-profile fighters in his short career thus far including Carl Frampton and David Haye.
Helping Frampton to become the champion of the world no less.
When asked how he felt about being called a PE teacher he had a simple reply:
“It might come back and bite them in the ar** on Saturday night.”
Indeed the comment about him being a PE teacher was a bit of a low blow to be fair. Given what he achieved with Carl Frampton alone.
They say revenge is a dish best served cold, McGuigan certainly came across that way today when asked about the above.
Coming across as a man biding his time. Patiently waiting.
