A report at the weekend from a UK tabloid claimed that Fury said that he was currently broke and in receipt of the dole and welfare benefits in the UK.
It seemed like an odd thing to hear considering Fury has been pictured in mansions lately and flash sports cars.
The report also claimed that Fury said he gave the £4 million he earned from the Wladimir Klitschko bout was given to charities since then.
However the whole story seemed rather odd, despite having quotes from Fury, who perhaps made the comments as a joke.
He’s now taken to social media to have a joke about the whole situation which tells a lot in terms of how false the story likely is:

His fellow training stablemate and MTK Global stablemate Billy Joe Saunders also chimed in:

Fury is currently training for his comeback fight which is expected to take place next April with an opponent and venue to be confirmed.
He is expected to formally receive his boxing license back in the coming weeks.
Saunders is currently training for an upcoming defence of his WBO middleweight world title against Martin Murray.
