Pound for pound rated Terence Crawford seems to be using social media more and more to get himself out there compared to been more soft-spoken and reserved on the channels than he was in the past.
Boxers know that if they don’t use social media in today’s times that they are missing out on a lot of exposure and ultimately – money in their pocket.
The mass adoption of the social media era is now in full effect and from a boxing perspective it now goes hand in hand with the sport everyday online.
Recently Terence Crawford and fellow promotional stablemate and welterweight Jose Benavidez had a run in where the two exchanged a heated war of words.
This lead to suggestions that fight between the two later in the year could be on the cards between the unbeaten pair.
However Crawford has poured cold water on that thought since their run-in, saying:
“Only Benavidez worth talking about is David. He the only one can fight thats it and I’m done talking about it.”
While a fight at super-middleweight against David Benavidez is not going to happen anytime soon, neither is one now with Jose at welterweight either by the looks of things.
Crawford has his hands full with the new move to the welterweight division anyway with his fight against WBO champion Jeff Horn this coming April.
