Report: Brother Of Welterweight Contender Fatally Shot By Police

Tragic news has hit the boxing world as one of its welterweight fighting sons has suffered a family tragedy with his brother having been killed.

It has been reported that 37-year-old welterweight contender Karim Mayfield, 28-year-old Shaleem Tindle – was shot to death by BART police in Oakland, California.

Following the devastating note, Karim Mayfield posted the following message on his Facebook account:

“My heart is aching right now, my little brother Shaleem was just murdered by Bart police in West Oakland yesterday.”

This was then followed up on his Instagram account with the following message:

“My Earth was shook b4 the earthquake last night. Rest in Paradise lil bra.”

It is understood that at this time an investigation is ongoing into exactly what took place. The BART officer in question has not been named as of yet.

For those unfamiliar with BART, it stands for the Bay Area Rapid Transit Police.
